Last night's concert, given by famous Chinese pianist Lang Lang in Chongqing

Grand Theatre, was a great success/was well received. As a music fan, I was so excited to see his performance. In the first part of the concert, Lang Lang played many much- loved classical pieces as usual. Then followed some new pieces. He interpreted some traditional Chinese tunes in a different way, including the folk tune Autumn Moon Over the Calm Lake, which impressed me a lot. So much did the audience enjoyed his creative performance that when the last piece ended, everybody stood up to applaud.

I think Lang Lang did so well at the concert. These pieces chosen by him perfectly fit him, and his personality and his style show his understanding of music. His mixture of western music with Chinese elements appeals to we young generation. In a word, it was a wonderful evening.
