One day, a 10-year-old boy goes into a coffee shop and sits at a table. A waitress (女服務員) puts a glass of water in front of him.

“How much is an ice cream sundae (聖代)?”

“fifty cents,” answers the waitress.

The little boy pulls his hand out of his picket and counts the coins(硬*) in it .

“How much is an ice cream?” he asks.

There are many people in the shop and the waitress is busy. She is a little impatient(不耐煩的). “Thirty –five cents,” she says. She sounds not so polite.

The little boy again counts his coins. “I’ll have the ice cream,” he says.

The waitress brings the ice cream to the boy and walks away. The boy eats the ice cream, pays for it and goes out.

The waitress comes back to clean the table. She is surprised (吃驚的) to see some coins on the table. There are fifteen cents---her tip(小費).
