   Emily became interested in dancing when she was a child. She wanted to be a famous dancer in the future. But her parents were too poor to send her to a dancing school. Instead, they sent her to a tailor shop. They hoped that she could learn something there and make money to help her poor family.

   Emily hated this job, so she wrote to the writer Pierre to ask for advice. Soon she received Pierre’s letter. The writer said nothing but told Emily his own story. Pierre said he would like to be a painter when he was young. But he had to give up his dream because his family was poor. At last, Pierre advised Emily to do what she should do first. From then on, Emily tried her best to learn to tailor clothes and soon she was good at it.

   When she was twenty-five years old, Emily ran a clothing business in Paris. Now , Emily is a famous designer(設計師) and she has designed clothes and shoes for many film stars.
