The Bus came to the school gate. Liam sat in his seat and didn’t look very happy. This year he had a new teacher Mrs Chomsky. He heard that Mrs Chomsky was very strict(严格的).

Liam followed the other students off the bus and went to Room 213. All the teachers were standing out in the hallway(走廊) and waiting for their students. But Mrs Chomsky wasn’t.

Liam went into the classroom. He was the first one. He looked around the classroom. Nothing in the classroom looked welcoming. Liam sighed(叹气).

Soon Mrs Chomsky came in. “Where should I sit?” asked Liam. He heard that Mrs Chomsky would make the students sit in alphabetical order(按字母顺序).

“Name?” she asked.

“Liam Abbot.”

“Ah, first seat, first row(排).”

Liam sat down and watched the other students go in and sit in their seats. Then Mrs Chomsky stood in the front of the classroom and began to talk to the students, “Rules first. I like order. I won’t talk when you’re talking, and I expect(期望) you to listen when I’ m talking. Look around. This is your classroom and it is mine, too. So the first thing we need to do is to decorate our classroom.”      Decorate the classroom? That sounded fun.

“Do you have any good ideas?” asked Mrs Chomsky.

Students put up their hands, and one by one everyone shared their ideas.

“How about you, Liam?” asked Mrs Chomsky. “Do you have any ideas?”

Liam smiled, “Yeah.”

This year was looking good already.
